ISSD Myanmar organized sixth National Seed Sector Platform Meeting with the theme on “Developing a National Seed Investment Plan for Myanmar” at Park Royal Hotel, Naypyitaw, Myanmar. One hundred participants from seed sector; public, private and development partners attended the meeting.

The meeting was organized by Seed Division, Department of Agriculture with support of ISSD Myanmar Programme. The 34 participants from development partners, 24 participants from private sector and 42 participants from public sector attended the event.

The Action Agenda has been developed during a large public-private gathering in Nay Pyi Taw, on 4 April 2017. At the meeting there was high-level representation of the government, the private sector and development partners. The Action Agenda aims to divide tasks between support projects and presents a coordination structure for subsequent platform meetings and monitoring of progress.
